All beers from our Barilo craft brewery are made with traditional brewing methods, without the use of any modern additives, that are predominantly used in large scale beer production today. Using modern technology in controlled conditions, we produce this tasty Ruby Red ale.
The Barley proteins in our Ale produce a mild cloudy beer, and on the bottom of the bottle is a thin film of yeast, which is known to be a rich source of B complex vitamins. Our beer is 100% natural and its ideal serving temperature is 8 - 12 °C.
Old Omiš people were Pirates! Throughout the 12th and 13th centuries, Omiš pirates were the rulers of the sea from Split to Dubrovnik, and all the ships that passed by Omiš, a small town at the mouth of the river Cetina, had to pay a tax for free navigation or risk fighting ruthless pirates! Only a few came ever came out as winners…
Omiš was led by the famous Kačić Dukes, and one of them was called ‘MALDUK’. For almost two centuries they ruled a large part of the Adriatic Sea and attacked the merchant ships of rich cities such as Split, Kotor, Dubrovnik and Venice. Even the Popes galleys, that sailed the Adriatic Sea towards distant Palestine, were attacked.
